1. A letter from Prof Hattingh

Dear potential student,

It is very clear to ATS that many of our prospective as well as existing students do not have sufficient finances to study. Times are challenging in our country.

Our problem many times is that we have difficulty to walk with God as we are in too much of a hurry. We want to do everything quickly while we just need to slow down a little, and fit in with God’s plan. He has His good reasons why we often need to slow things down.

My suggestion to you for this problem is:

  1. Only enroll in one or two modules for the first semester (registration closes 31 Jan 2023).
  2. Trust the Lord during the next six months and start saving money, putting it away for two more modules for July’s second semester registration.
  3. That way, you start to or continue to study, while concretely trusting the Lord and putting money aside for your studies.
  4. The important outcome is: you start now and keep doing what God has called you to do.
  5. You enjoy your studies and work under less stress while your relationship with God and your faith in Him grows.
  6. In Isaiah 28 we learn that those who believe are not in a hurry. Doing the will of the Lord is always a great battle and we pray for you that you will do it wisely.

Greetings and blessings.

Prof Jan Hattingh
Principal, ATS

2. Student loans

There are financial institutions in South Africa that make student loans available to students who study at any South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accredited institution such as Auckland Park Theological Seminary.

4. Upcoming book release about the end times

The "second coming of Jesus", the antichrist, and "signs of the end times" are catchphrases that many people have something to say about.

If you want a responsible and balanced view about the end times then this book is worth reading.

Prof Francois Möller is the head of department for Dogmatics & Ethics, and vice-principal of ATS.

This book will be released next week 30 January 2023 DV.

Auckland Park Theological Seminary is the oldest Pentecostal and Charismatic theological seminary in Africa. It is an academic institution that provides accredited theological training, education and research. ATS is a non-denominational institution, working across church borders.
